Production Management

Production management, also called operations management,  planning and control of industrial processes to ensure that they move smoothly at the required level. Techniques of production management are employed in service as well as in manufacturing industries. It is a responsibility similar in level and scope to other specialties such as marketing or human resource. In manufacturing operations, production management includes responsibility for product and process design, planning and control issues involving capacity and quality, and organization and supervision of the workforce. Production management deals with converting raw materials into finished goods or products. It brings together the 6M's i.e. men, money, machines, materials, methods and markets to satisfy the wants of the people.


 Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

product lifecycle management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from inception, through engineering design and manufacture, to service and disposal of manufactured products.
1.Demand Management (Forecasting)
Is the quantity and the date for completing the product and assembly in accordance with the specified SOP.
2. Master Production scheduling (MPS)
Is for critical resources that without it we can not continue to produce and to determine how much should be produced.
3. Master Resource Planning
Contains the detailed planning. The result is a purchase requisition.

     1.       Order Creation
